Laura Giordano
has received the degree in Computer Science from the University of Torino
in 1987 and the PhD in Computer Science from the same university in
1993. From 1990 to 1998 she has been researcher at the Dipartimento di
Informatica, Università di Torino.
Since October 1998 she is associate professor at the Università del Piemonte Orientale.
From 1997 to 2012 and since 2018 she has been member of the board of GULP, the Italian Association for Logic Programming .
She is an Associate Editor of JAIR
(Journal of Artificial Intelligence Research)
and a member of the board of editorial advisors of
TPLP
(Theory and Practice of Logic Programming).
She has published over 130 papers on international journals and in conference proceedings.
Her research activity is mainly concerned with logics for AI, and her research interests include: Computational Logic, Answer Set Programming, Description Logics, Nonmonotonic Reasoning, Conditional Logics, Belief Revision,
Reasoning about Actions and Change, Business Processes Verification, AI and Law, Logics for Access Control, Multiagent Systems.
