Biography
Dr. Maurizio Aceto was born in Turin on 28-10-1964.
He lives in Turin at present. In 1988 Dr. Maurizio Aceto
graduated in Chemistry from the Università di Torino
with 107/110
and a thesis entitled "Caratterizzazione analitica
di ceramiche del tipo Terra Sigillata". After
one year of civil service, he attended the courses
for a PhD in Chemical Sciences from the Università
di Torino, obtaining in 1992 the title of PhD
with a thesis entitled "Metalli pesanti in
traccia ed ultratraccia nell'ambiente: valutazione
di labilità, mobilità e speciazione". During
PhD period, he attended the Laboratory of
Oceanography at the University of Liverpool, working
with Prof. C. Van den Bergh. In winter 1994
he was a member of the X Antarctic expedition of
PNRA - Progetto Nazionale di Ricerche in Antartide;

here. Afterwards he was granted some
scholarships by CSELT (Turin) and by
Perkin-Elmer, then a biennal post-doctoral grant.
Since 1997 he is researcher at the
Università del Piemonte Orientale "Amedeo Avogadro", Faculty of Sciences M.F.N.
